Manuscript Evaluation Process

A) Pre-Evaluation Process
1) The manuscript and its attachments are checked by the journal secretariat, and incomplete applications are returned to the author.
2) Articles that comply with the application process are submitted to the editor-in-chief.
3) These procedures are carried out by the journal secretariat within 7 (seven) working days for each article.
4) The editor-in-chief determines whether the article is suitable for the purpose, scope and theme of the journal.
5) Unsuitable articles are returned to the author with justification by the editor-in-chief.
6) An editor is assigned by the editor-in-chief to the article that is deemed appropriate for the purpose, scope and theme of the journal.
7) These procedures are carried out by the editor-in-chief within 7 (seven) working days for each article.
8) The editor examines each article in detail in terms of its terminological adequacy and style, as well as its compliance with the journal's purpose, scope and editorial principles, and determines which type of article (review, research) the article belongs to.
9) The editor submits his/her detailed review of the article to the editorial board. These procedures are carried out by the editor within 15 (fifteen) working days.
10) The editorial board, which meets every 15 (fifteen) days under the chairmanship of the editor-in-chief, evaluates the submitted articles.
11) As a result of the evaluation, articles may be rejected or it may be decided to start the refereeing process.
12) All decisions taken by the editorial board are implemented by the relevant editor within 7 (seven) business days.
B) Referee Evaluation Process
1) The journal conducts the publication process on the basis of double blind refereeing.
2) Reviewers are determined by the editor by taking into account the SGD title to which the article is related.
3) Once the referee for the manuscript has been identified, an invitation is sent to the referee to review the manuscript.
4) The arbitrator may accept or reject the invitation within 7 (seven) days.
5) If the referee refuses the invitation, another referee will be invited.
6) If the arbitrator accepts the invitation, a review period of 21 (twenty-one) days is granted.
7) In the event that the referee requests corrections from the author, this situation is communicated to the author by the editor together with the referee's opinions.
8) The author completes the necessary corrections within 21 (twenty-one) days from the date of the referee report and sends the updated version of the article to the journal.
9) If the article is not submitted to the journal within the specified period according to the referee corrections, the article will be rejected.
10) The editor makes a decision as a result of the referees' evaluations. This decision is either publishable or unpublishable.
C) Publication Process
1) At this stage, the manuscript is reviewed for compliance with spelling rules and citation procedures.
2) Simple corrections regarding the article are made by the editor and the author is informed that the article will be published in accordance with these changes and the author's approval is obtained.
3) During the editing process, all articles to be published in accordance with the full issue format of the journal are combined in a single file.
4) The journal issue is published electronically upon completion of the full issue file.
D) Explanations
1) If the editor deems necessary, the article may be submitted for additional peer review.
2) Additional time may be given up to one (1) times the time specified in the article evaluation process.
